That Summer Is Saturated
[00:11.80] "I killed someone yesterday,"
[00:14.10] is what you said
[00:17.30] Completely soaked from the rainy season,
[00:19.00] you were sobbing in front of my room.
[00:22.50] Even though summer had just begun,
[00:25.30] you trembled so much.
[00:27.64] This kind of story's beginning
[00:29.80] was that summer day's memory
[00:51.70] "I killed the one who sat next to me,
[00:54.02] the one who always bullied me
[00:57.10] I got fed up and shoved their shoulders,
[00:59.88] but the place they hit was bad
[01:02.70] I don't think I can stay here anymore,
[01:05.34] so I'm going somewhere far off to die."
[01:08.20] So I said to you,
[01:10.20] "Then take me with you."
[01:13.00] Bring your wallet, grab your knife,
[01:15.78] and pack some games, too
[01:18.80] Everything we don't need, let's destroy it
[01:24.00] Those photos, the diary,
[01:26.50] Now I don't need them anymore
[01:29.10] It was just you and me, the journey of a killer and a deadbeat
[01:40.00] So then we ran away
[01:42.10] from this small and narrow world
[01:45.20] Family, classmates
[01:47.30] with you and me, we'll abandon anything and everything
[01:50.00] Let's die together, far far away, in the middle of nowhere
[01:55.20] There's nothing special in this world anymore
[01:58.00] Murderers can appear everywhere, can't they
[02:01.30] You did nothing wrong
[02:03.40] You did nothing wrong
[02:22.90] In the end, no one ever loved us
[02:27.30] With that awful analogy, we easily believed in each other
[02:32.90] As soon as I clasped your hand in mine, that faint shivering was already gone
[02:38.60] Not being bound by anyone, the two of us walked on the railroad
[02:44.00] Stealing money, fleeing together, I felt like we could go anywhere
[02:49.20] There was nothing for us to be afraid of now.
[02:54.20] The sweat on my forehead, my glasses falling
[02:57.10] "Nothing like that matters now
[03:00.00] Just a small escape journey of good-for-nothings."
[03:10.80] Someday if the kind hero I dream of whom everyone likes appears,
[03:15.70] would they save filthy people like us without ever abandoning them?
[03:21.20] "If I had that sort of dream I'd give up; after all, face reality.
[03:26.30] There's no such thing that makes up the five letters in HAPPY,
[03:28.60] haven't you realized that in life by now?
[03:32.00] Everyone thinks they did nothing wrong; I'm sure of that."
[03:53.20] Wandering around in a swarm of cicadas,
[03:56.00] with no water to spare as our visions become blurry,
[03:58.56] going mad like angry ogres and shouting,
[04:01.20] we raised hell like idiots
[04:03.10] but then you suddenly picked up the knife.
[04:05.10] "I wouldn't have made it this far if you hadn't been there for me.
[04:09.20] So that's enough. It's fine now."
[04:11.80] "I'll be the only one who has to die."
[04:24.00] And then you slit your neck; it was just like a scene from a movie
[04:29.40] I felt like I was daydreaming. By the time I realized it, I was trapped
[04:34.50] I couldn't find you anywhere
[04:37.20] Only you weren't anywhere
[04:40.00] And so time passed
[04:42.20] Just those hot, hot days went by
[04:45.10] Even though family and classmates are here,
[04:47.70] why were you the only one who couldn't be seen somewhere?
[04:50.50] I remember that summer day.
[04:52.80] I still sing even now
[04:56.00] I'm always looking for you
[04:58.60] There's something I need to tell you
[05:01.40] Sneezing at the end of September,
[05:03.60] repeating the smell of June
[05:06.40] Your smile,
[05:07.40] your innocence,
[05:09.20] saturates the inside of my head
[05:12.00] No one did anything wrong
[05:14.60] You did nothing wrong, so
[05:17.20] that's enough already. Let's throw it all away
[05:20.00] That's what you wanted someone to say, wasn't it? Right?
