Hated by Life Itself
[00:24.00] “Don’t say you want to die”
[00:26.69] “Live on without giving up!”
[00:29.18] How foolish it is to say songs with lyrics like that are correct.
[00:34.69] In truth, I couldn’t care a bit if I died,
[00:37.68] but I’d be pretty sad if the people around me did
[00:40.44] I suppose it’s some kind of ego; that goes “because I just wouldn’t like it”
[00:46.43] Not caring if strangers live or not,
[00:49.44] and hating someone else just seems like some kind of fashion now
[00:52.19] But “Live peacefully” nevertheless?
[00:54.94] What a wonderful thing that would be indeed...
[00:57.95] On the other side of the screen, someone dies
[01:00.68] Lamenting that, someone else sings
[01:03.44] Influenced by that, a young boy
[01:06.19] Ran off carrying a knife.
[01:08.44] We are hated by life itself.
[01:11.69] Pushing values and ego, as always,
[01:14.18] so very simply we broadcast songs about
[01:17.19] wanting to kill somebody else over radio waves.
[01:19.94] We are hated by life itself.
[01:22.93] We who thoughtlessly say we want to die
[01:25.69] and look at life thoughtlessly, are hated by it.
[01:43.19] I’ve got no money, and so throughout the day again,
[01:45.69] I sing songs of praise to indolence
[01:48.69] Still without grasping the meaning of life,
[01:51.44] I come to an epiphany that it’s pointless and take a breath.
[01:54.18] Are these wounds really okay to be expressed with words like “I’m lonely”
[02:00.44] Carrying nothing but such obstinacy,
[02:02.35] today again I sleep alone on my bed
[02:05.60] We who were but youths at some point
[02:08.11] start to change into young adults.
[02:11.35] Growing old, one day we rot away like fallen leaves with
[02:14.10] not a soul in the world knowing of our existence...
[02:16.86] Obtaining an immortal body,
[02:19.60] and living our whole existence without dying…
[02:22.60] I’m just daydreaming about these kinds of science fiction situations
[02:28.35] I couldn’t care a bit if I died,
[02:31.10] But I’m wanted alive by the people around me
[02:33.85] Living on carrying such contradictions...
[02:36.60] I think I’ll get yelled at.
[02:39.36] “Things that are “correct” should stay “correct”.”
[02:42.35] “If you don’t want to die, then live.”
[02:45.10] If we’re going to end up sad and if that’s fine
[02:47.85] Then you gotta laugh alone forever
[02:50.36] We are hated by life itself.
[02:53.36] Without even grasping the meaning of joy,
[02:55.85] we just hate the hand life has dealt us
[02:58.86] and merely curse our pasts.
[03:01.35] We are hated by life itself.
[03:04.60] We who simply like the idea of the word “goodbye” a little too much,
[03:07.36] with no knowledge of a true farewell, are hated by life itself.
[03:24.36] Happiness,
[03:25.86] farewells,
[03:27.35] love
[03:28.60] and friendship;
[03:29.86] They’re all goods that can be bought for money…
[03:32.79] within jokes made by comical dreams.
[03:35.81] I might just die tomorrow you know,
[03:38.80] Everything might just end up being for naught.
[03:41.54] Mornings and nights,
[03:42.79] spring and autumn,
[03:44.31] Unchanging, someone dies somewhere.
[03:47.05] I don’t need dreams
[03:48.54] or even a tomorrow,
[03:49.79] If you’ll have lived on then that’s all I need.
[03:52.55] Yeah...
[03:54.05] That’s actually what I want to sing about.
[03:58.54] Hated by life itself
[04:01.05] In the end, we’ll die anyway
[04:04.04] You will,
[04:05.23] I will,
[04:06.48] one day all of us will rot away like fallen leaves
[04:09.23] But regardless, we live on frantically-
[04:11.98] Shouldering our lives, frantically, we live-
[04:14.97] Killing,
[04:15.72] struggling,
[04:16.47] laughing,
[04:17.23] shouldering it all
[04:17.97] Live
[04:18.73] Live
[04:19.48] Live
[04:20.16] Live
[04:20.90] JUST LIVE.
