TELL LAURA I LOVE HER - Bb - Ray Peterson - Kar

[00:02.40] Laura and Tommy were lovers

[00:06.65] He wanted to give her everything

[00:10.65] Flowers, presents

[00:14.65] And most of all a wedding ring

[00:19.40] He saw a sign for a stock car race

[00:23.40] A thousand dollar prize it read

[00:28.40] He couldn't get Laura on the phone

[00:32.90] So to her mother Tommy said

[00:38.65] Tell Laura I love her

[00:43.15] Tell Laura I need her

[00:47.90] Tell Laura I may be late

[00:51.65] I've something to do

[00:54.90] That cannot wait

[01:01.65] He drove his car to the racing grounds

[01:05.65] He was the youngest driver there

[01:10.40] The crowed roared as they started the race

[01:14.90] 'Round the track they drove at a deadly pace

[01:20.65] No one knows what happened that day

[01:24.65] How his car overturned in flames

[01:28.65] But as they pulled him from the twisted wreck

[01:33.40] With his dying breath

[01:35.90] They heard him say

[01:39.15] Tell Laura I love her

[01:43.90] Tell Laura I need her

[01:48.40] Tell Laura not to cry

[01:52.40] My love for her will never die

[02:02.15] And in the chapel where Laura prays

[02:06.15] For Tommy who passed away

[02:10.90] It was just for Laura he lived and died

[02:15.65] Alone in the chapel she can hear him cry

[02:21.15] Tell Laura I love her

[02:25.90] Tell Laura I need her

[02:30.65] Tell Laura not to cry

[02:34.40] My love for her will never die

[02:44.55] Tell Laura I love her
