05 Twenty Years Ago

[00:00.17] Twenty Years Ago

[00:08.67] It’s been a long time

[00:10.92] since he walked through this old town

[00:16.17] But oh how the memories start to flow

[00:23.67] And there’s the old movie house

[00:26.41] They finally closed it down

[00:30.17] You could find him there every Friday night

[00:34.67] Twenty years ago

[00:44.42] He worked the counter at the drug store down the street

[00:52.18] But nobody’s left there he would know

[00:59.66] On Saturday morning that’s where all his friends would meet

[01:06.67] You’d be surprised what a dime could buy

[01:10.92] Twenty years ago

[01:15.18] All his memorises from those days come gather round him

[01:22.92] What he’d give if they could take him back in time

[01:30.42] Oh! It almost seems like yesterday

[01:34.93] Where do the good times go

[01:40.92] Lift was so much easier

[01:45.18] Twenty years ago

[01:54.92] He guessed he should stop by Mr Johnson’s hardware store

[02:02.67] Whose only son was his friend Joe

[02:10.42] But Joe joined the army back in 1964

[02:16.92] How could they know he would never come back

[02:21.42] Twenty years ago

[02:25.67] All his memorises from those days come gather round him

[02:33.42] What he’d give if they could take him back in time

[02:40.92] Oh! It almost seems like yesterday

[02:45.18] Where do the good times go

[02:51.43] Life was so much easier

[02:55.67] Twenty years ago

[03:04.42] Oh! It almost seems like yesterday

[03:09.18] Twenty years ago
