The best day Taylor's Version
[00:16.81] I'm five years old
[00:18.84] It's getting cold
[00:20.59] I've got my big coat on
[00:24.64] I hear your laugh
[00:26.44] And look up smiling at you
[00:29.70] I run and run
[00:32.22] Past the pumpkin patch
[00:33.74] And the tractor rides
[00:36.33] Look now, the sky is gold
[00:39.86] I hug your legs
[00:41.89] And fall asleep on the way home
[00:47.97] I don't know why all the trees change in the fall
[00:55.59] But I know you're not scared of anything at all
[01:02.92] Don't know if Snow White's house is near or far away
[01:08.72] But I know I had the best day with you today
[01:22.13] I'm thirteen now
[01:24.15] And don't know how
[01:26.18] My friends could be so mean
[01:29.72] I come home crying
[01:31.98] And you hold me tight
[01:34.77] And grab the keys
[01:37.30] And we drive and drive
[01:39.05] Until we found a town far enough away
[01:44.65] And we talk and window shop
[01:47.95] 'Till I forgotten all their names
[01:53.25] I don't know who I'm gonna talk to now at school
[02:00.85] But I know I'm laughing
[02:03.39] On the car ride home with you
[02:08.45] Don't know how long it's gonna take to feel okay
[02:14.01] But I know I had the best day with you today
[02:23.88] I have an excellent father
[02:27.43] His strength is making me stronger
[02:31.21] God smiles on my little brother
[02:34.74] Inside and out he's better than I am
[02:38.78] I grew up in a pretty house
[02:42.85] And I had space to run and I
[02:47.19] had the best days with you
[02:55.02] There is a video I found
[02:58.05] From back when I was three
[03:01.87] You set up a paint set in the kitchen
[03:06.23] And you're talking to me
[03:09.76] It's the age of princesses and pirate ships
[03:14.57] And the seven dwarfs
[03:17.64] And Daddy's smart
[03:18.92] And you're the prettiest lady in the whole wide world
[03:25.99] And now I know why the all the trees change in the fall
[03:32.81] I know you were on my side
[03:36.34] Even when I was wrong
[03:39.65] And I love you for giving me your eyes
[03:44.21] Staying back and watching me shine and
[03:47.50] I didn't know if you knew
[03:51.30] So I'm taking this chance to say
[03:54.11] That I had the best day with you today
