The Ladder

[00:26.25] Once upon a time in the land of Sin-a-plenty

[00:33.96] There lived a king who didn't deserve to be

[00:41.92] He knew not where he came from nor where he was going

[00:49.63] He never once said thank you, never please

[00:57.86] Now this king he had a subject named Electra

[01:06.10] Who loved him with a passion uncontested

[01:14.33] For him each day she had a smile

[01:17.78] But it didn't matter

[01:22.03] The king was looking for the ladder

[01:29.21] Everybody's looking for the ladder

[01:37.44] Everybody wants salvation of the soul

[01:45.67] The steps you take are no easy road

[01:53.38] But the reward is great

[01:56.03] For those who want to go

[02:02.14] (Everybody's looking for the answers) A feeling of self-worth will caress you

[02:10.64] (How the story started and how it will end) The size of the whole wide world will decrease

[02:20.47] The love of God's creation will undress you

[02:28.17] And time spent alone my friend, will cease

[02:35.61] Everybody's looking for the answers

[02:43.85] How the story started and how it will end

[02:51.97] What's the use in half a story, half a dream?

[03:00.21] You have to climb all of the steps in between, yeah yeah

[03:07.81] I say everybody, everybody's looking for the ladder

[03:16.84] Everybody wants salvation of the soul

[03:25.08] The steps you take are no easy road (It's not that easy)

[03:34.11] The reward is great for those who want to go

[03:38.89] (I do!)

[03:40.66] Oh everybody, yeah, everybody's looking for the answers

[03:49.96] Everybody wanna know how the story started and how it will end

[03:58.46] What's the use in half a story, half of a dream?

[04:05.80] You gotta climb, you gotta climb all of the steps in between

[04:14.84] Everybody, everybody's looking for that ladder

[04:23.07] Everybody wants salvation of the soul (Oh salvation)

[04:31.30] The steps you take are no easy road and, uh, that's for sure

[04:39.54] The reward is great, is great for those who wanna go, those who wanna go

[04:48.30] Everybody (Everybody's looking for the answers)

[04:52.98] Everybody wants an answer (Oh yeah)

[04:57.50] They wanna know how the story started

[04:59.62] How it will end, what it would be like every day?

[05:04.93] What's the use in half a story, half of a dream?

[05:13.43] You have to climb all of the steps in between
