Haiku
[00:15.94] I have been trying
[00:17.95] To write a haiku for you
[00:23.22] Some things I just can't do
[00:25.73] Maybe you're beyond
[00:28.74] Ancient Asian poetry
[00:33.25] Or maybe it's just me
[00:35.76] I have been trying
[00:38.02] To get this haiku just right
[00:41.53] All night for you, alright
[00:45.29] I'm through!
[00:48.30] Maybe this poem
[00:50.55] Was lost in the sauce we spilled
[00:55.57] That never got refilled
[00:58.33] I've never thought much
[01:00.84] Of formulaic verse anyway
[01:05.60] And rhymes are not my fort–
[01:08.36] I have been trying
[01:10.61] To get this haiku just right
[01:13.87] All night for you, alright
[01:17.89] I'm through!
[01:20.90] I'm trying not to try too hard
[01:25.67] But you're hard to write down right
[01:30.69] So I pen these trite attempts
[01:35.45] At haikus for you tonight
[01:50.76] La da dee diddum
[01:53.01] Lada da dum doo diddle
[01:58.28] Dum doo la dee do
[02:00.79] There, that's sufficient
[02:03.04] I wrote a haiku for you (He wrote a haiku for you)
[02:06.56] Well, I tried at least
[02:07.81] And that's not so bad, I'm working here
[02:10.83] Can that be said for you?
[02:13.33] I'm trying not to try too hard
[02:18.10] But you're hard to write down right
[02:23.11] So I pen these trite attempts
[02:27.88] At haikus for you tonight
[02:33.65] Words don't work like Webster says
[02:38.17] They trip me up all night
[02:43.43] I'm just trying to write for you
[02:48.20] But you're hard to write down right
