[00:00.00] Emma's Birthday Party

[00:02.55] Emma Haywood is a seventh-grade girl with blonde hair who lives in a small seaside town.

[00:11.84] She is always friendly to others.

[00:15.03] Years ago, she became interested in sailing.

[00:19.55] Afterwards, she was allowed to take part in a competition and won first prize.

[00:26.98] Last Saturday was Emma's 13th birthday.

[00:30.97] Her parents decided to hold a surprise party for Emma, who would be a teenager.

[00:38.14] They asked her best friends John and Harriet, who are also their neighbours, for help.

[00:45.58] "John, could you give Emma a call and ask her to go to the beach on Saturday morning?" asked Mr Haywood on the phone.

[00:55.67] "After she left the house, Harriet will come and help us with the cake and balloons."

[01:02.76] "Certainly!" John answered in an excited voice.

[01:07.27] On that day, Emma came back home and she was so surprised and happy to hear all her family and friends shouting out "Happy birthday!" and singing a birthday song for her.

[01:23.83] "It's time for you to make a wish, my kid."

[01:28.61] Mrs Haywood showed up with a chocolate cake and gently kissed her forehead.

[01:35.51] "First thank you all for coming here." Emma looked at everyone with a smile.

[01:43.22] "Now it's time for my wish."

[01:46.14] "I hope my dream of being an Olympic champion will com true." thought Emma, with her eyes closed and hands folded.

[01:56.23] Then she blew out all the candles.

[02:00.22] Emma's parents and friends gave her many lovely gifts.

[02:05.80] They enjoyed the food and played games together happily for the whole afternoon.

[02:12.70] "What an interesting day! It is my best birthday memory." wrote Emma in her diary.
