Castle On The Hill - Ed Sheeran (Lyrics) 🎵
[00:08.04] When I was six years old I broke my leg
[00:14.93] I was running from my brother and his friends
[00:21.57] And tasted the sweet perfume of the mountain grass I rolled down
[00:28.77] I was younger then
[00:32.54] Take me back to when
[00:35.73] I found my heart and broke it here
[00:39.71] Made friends and lost them through the years
[00:43.42] And I've not seen the roaring fields in so long
[00:47.67] I know I've grown
[00:50.07] But I can't wait to go home
[00:53.54] I'm on my way
[00:57.24] Driving at 90 down those country lanes
[01:04.15] Singing to "Tiny Dancer"
[01:09.45] And I miss the way
[01:10.26] You make me feel
[01:15.57] And it's real
[01:18.24] When we watched the sunset over the castle on the hill
[01:26.47] Fifteen years old and smoking hand-rolled cigarettes
[01:36.04] Running from the law through the backfields and getting drunk with my friends
[01:40.28] Had my first kiss on a Friday night
[01:44.01] I don't reckon that I did it right
[01:46.92] I was younger then,
[01:50.40] Take me back to when
[01:53.59] We found weekend jobs, when we got paid
[01:57.57] We'd buy cheap spirits and drink them straight
[02:01.60] Me and my friends have not thrown up in so long
[02:05.84] Oh, how we've grown
[02:11.43] But I can't wait to go home
[02:11.99] I'm on my way
[02:14.67] Driving at 90 down those country lanes
[02:21.84] Singing to "Tiny Dancer"
[02:25.56] And I miss the way
[02:28.46] You make me feel
[02:31.40] And it's real
[02:33.26] When we watched the sunset over the castle on the hill
[02:36.70] Over the castle on the hill
[02:43.88] Over the castle on the hill
[02:50.53] One friend left to sell clothes
[03:06.46] One works down by the coast
[03:09.64] One had two kids but lives alone
[03:14.19] One's brother overdosed
[03:16.85] One's already on his second wife
[03:20.85] One's just barely getting by
[03:30.42] But these people raised me
[03:30.96] And I can't wait to go home
[03:31.22] And I'm on my way
[03:35.47] I still remember these old country lanes
[03:40.52] When we did not know the answers
[03:44.79] And I miss the way
[03:47.18] You make me feel
[03:49.47] And it's real
[03:51.07] When we watched the sunset over the castle on the hill
[04:01.22] Over the castle on the hill
[04:08.42] Over the castle on the hill
