05. Deep Purple - Smoke On The Water

[00:00.00] Smoke On the Water (1971 Recording) - Deep Purple

[00:51.30] We all came out to Montreux

[00:54.91] On the lake Geneva shoreline

[01:00.14] To make records with a mobile

[01:05.41] We didn't have much time

[01:08.70] Frank Zappa and the Mothers

[01:12.28] Were at the best place around

[01:17.15] But some stupid with a flare gun

[01:21.08] Burned the place to the ground

[01:24.97] Smoke on the water fire in the sky

[01:33.77] Smoke on the water

[01:55.12] They burned down the gambling house

[01:58.86] It died with an awful sound

[02:03.56] Funky Claude was running in and out

[02:09.13] Pulling kids out the ground

[02:12.23] When it all was over

[02:15.74] We had to find another place

[02:20.47] But Swiss time was running out

[02:24.06] It seemed that we would lose the race

[02:28.32] Smoke on the water fire in the sky

[02:36.91] Smoke on the water

[03:56.13] We ended up at the Grand Hotel

[04:00.66] It was empty cold and bare

[04:03.45] But with the rolling truck

[04:05.14] Stones thing just outside

[04:09.61] Making our music there

[04:11.96] With a few red lights and a few old beds

[04:16.96] We make a place to sweat

[04:21.03] No matter what we get out of this

[04:25.16] I know I know we'll never forget

[04:28.86] Smoke on the water fire in the sky

[04:37.47] Smoke on the water
