When I'm Gone

[00:03.83] My own words, I guess

[00:05.42] Have you ever loved someone so much

[00:07.89] You'd give an arm for

[00:08.96] Not the expression, no

[00:10.60] Literally give an arm for

[00:12.20] When they know they're your heart

[00:13.80] And you know you are their armor

[00:15.41] And you will destroy anyone who would try to harm her

[00:18.90] But what happens when karma

[00:20.22] Turns right around and bites you

[00:21.81] And everything you stand for turns on you to spite you

[00:25.02] What happens when you become the main source of her pain

[00:28.42] "Daddy look what I made"

[00:29.51] "Dad's gotta go catch a plane"

[00:31.34] "Daddy where's mommy?

[00:32.66] I can't find mommy, where is she?"

[00:34.81] "I don't know, go play, Hailie baby, your daddy's busy

[00:38.02] Daddy's writing a song, this song ain't gon' write itself"

[00:40.87] I give you one underdog, and you gotta swing by yourself

[00:44.25] Then turn right around in that song and tell her you love her

[00:47.51] And put hands on her mother who's the spittin' image of her

[00:50.75] That's Slim Shady, yeah baby Slim Shady's crazy

[00:53.94] Shady made me

[00:55.01] But tonight, Shady's rock-a-bye baby

[00:57.94] And when I'm gone just carry on don't mourn

[01:00.37] Rejoice every time you hear the sound of my voice, just know that

[01:04.10] I'm lookin' down on you smilin'

[01:06.27] And I didn't feel a thing so baby, don't feel no pain, just smile back

[01:10.55] And when I'm gone just carry on don't mourn

[01:13.22] Rejoice every time you hear the sound of my voice, just know that

[01:16.93] I'm lookin' down on you smilin'

[01:19.10] And I didn't feel a thing so baby, don't feel no pain, just smile back

[01:22.51] I keep havin' this dream

[01:24.37] I'm pushin' Hailie on a swing, she keeps screamin', she don't want me to sing

[01:28.53] "You're makin' mommy cry, why, why is mommy cryin'"

[01:32.04] "Baby, daddy ain't leavin' no more, daddy you're lyin'

[01:35.28] You always say that, you always say this is the last time

[01:38.96] But you ain't leavin' no more daddy, you're mine"

[01:41.93] She's pilin' boxes in front of the door tryin' to block it

[01:45.13] "Daddy please, daddy, don't leave, daddy, no, stop it"

[01:48.34] Goes in her pocket, pulls out a tiny necklace locket

[01:51.53] It's got a picture, "This will keep you safe daddy, take it with ya"

[01:54.99] I look up, it's just me standin' in the mirror

[01:57.74] These fuckin' walls must be talkin', 'cause man I can hear 'em

[02:01.16] They're sayin', "you got one more chance to do right

[02:03.62] And it's tonight, now go out and show 'em that you love 'em before it's too late"

[02:08.04] And just as I go to walk out of my bedroom door

[02:10.97] It turns to a stage, they're gone and the spotlight is on and I'm singin'

[02:14.70] And when I'm gone just carry on don't mourn

[02:17.01] Rejoice every time you hear the sound of my voice, just know that

[02:21.09] I'm lookin' down on you smilin'

[02:23.20] And I didn't feel a thing so baby, don't feel no pain, just smile back

[02:27.46] And when I'm gone just carry on don't mourn

[02:29.88] Rejoice every time you hear the sound of my voice, just know that

[02:33.89] I'm lookin' down on you smilin'

[02:36.01] And I didn't feel a thing so baby, don't feel no pain, just smile back

[02:39.76] Sixty thousand people all jumpin' out their seat

[02:42.60] The curtain closes, they're throwin' roses at my feet

[02:45.77] I take a bow, and thank you all for comin' out

[02:48.96] They're screamin' so loud, I take one last look at the crowd

[02:52.15] I glance down, I don't believe what I'm seein'

[02:55.36] "Daddy, its me, help mommy, her wrists are bleedin'"

[02:58.81] But baby we're in Sweden

[03:00.15] How did you get to Sweden?

[03:02.02] "I followed you daddy

[03:03.08] You told me that you weren't leavin'

[03:05.21] You lied to me dad, and now you made mommy sad

[03:08.40] And I bought you this coin, it says number one dad

[03:11.59] That's all I wanted, I just want to give you this coin"

[03:14.51] "I get the point, fine, me and mommy are goin'"

[03:18.03] "But baby wait, it's too late dad, you made your choice

[03:20.98] Now go out there and show 'em that you love 'em more than us

[03:24.37] That's what they want

[03:25.44] They want you, Marshall

[03:26.77] They keep screamin' your name

[03:28.63] It's no wonder you can't go to sleep

[03:30.44] Just take another pill, yeah I bet you you will!

[03:33.95] You rap about it, yeah word, kid keep it real"

[03:37.13] I hear a applause, all this time I couldn't see

[03:40.31] How could it be, that the curtain is closin' on me

[03:43.15] I turn around, find a gun on the ground

[03:45.99] Cock it, put it to my brain, scream, "Die Shady!" And pop it

[03:49.98] The sky darkens, my life flashes

[03:52.38] The plane that I was supposed to be on, crashes, and burns to ashes

[03:56.40] That's when I wake up

[03:57.46] Alarm clock's ringing, there's birds singin'

[04:00.11] It's spring and Hailie's outside swingin'

[04:02.53] I walk right up to Kim and kiss her tell her I miss her

[04:05.73] Hailie just smiles and winks at her little sister almost as if to say

[04:09.98] And when I'm gone just carry on don't mourn

[04:12.38] Rejoice every time you hear the sound of my voice, just know that

[04:16.36] I'm lookin' down on you smilin'

[04:18.22] And I didn't feel a thing so baby, don't feel no pain, just smile back

[04:22.76] And when I'm gone just carry on don't mourn

[04:25.16] Rejoice every time you hear the sound of my voice, just know that

[04:29.16] I'm lookin' down on you smilin'

[04:31.03] And I didn't feel a thing so baby, don't feel no pain, just smile back
