01 - Prologue

[00:00.78] Narrator：

[00:29.57] Once upon a time

[00:31.01] In a faraway land

[00:32.99] A young Prince lived in a shining castle

[00:36.93] Although he had everything his heart desired

[00:40.11] The Prince was spoiled

[00:42.24] Selfish

[00:43.36] And unkind

[00:45.83] But then

[00:46.83] One winter's night

[00:48.10] An old beggar woman came to the castle

[00:50.89] And offered him a single Rose

[00:53.84] In return for shelter from the bitter cold

[00:57.34] Repulsed by her haggard appearance

[00:59.98] The Prince sneered at the gift

[01:02.39] And turned the old woman away

[01:04.71] But she warned him not to be deceived by appearances

[01:08.34] For Beauty is found within

[01:11.53] And when he dismissed her again

[01:13.50] The old woman's ugliness melted away

[01:16.18] To reveal a beautiful Enchantress

[01:20.33] The Prince tried to apologize

[01:22.33] But it was too late

[01:23.66] For she had seen that there was no love in his heart

[01:27.41] And as punishment

[01:28.40] She transformed him into a hideous beast

[01:31.15] And placed a powerful spell on the castle

[01:34.01] And all who lived there

[01:36.98] Ashamed of his monstrous form

[01:39.44] The beast concealed himself inside his castle

[01:42.47] With a magic mirror as his only window to the outside world

[01:47.88] The Rose she had offered

[01:50.47] Was truly an enchanted rose

[01:53.23] Which would bloom until his 21st year

[01:56.73] If he could learn to love another

[01:59.59] And earn their love in return

[02:01.79] By the time the last petal fell

[02:04.03] Then the spell would be broken

[02:08.00] If not

[02:09.36] He would be doomed to remain a beast

[02:12.29] For all time

[02:15.22] As the years passed

[02:17.47] He fell into despair

[02:19.80] And lost all hope

[02:22.98] For who could ever learn to love

[02:25.95] A Beast
