I Built A Friend

[00:04.36] I built a friend with 3 pieces of plastic and a pen

[00:12.09] I made him on the table in the den

[00:16.86] I gave him my old cell phone for a head, for a head

[00:23.61] And we spent holidays at my house

[00:28.10] And we left presents in a stocking

[00:33.10] And we bought bolts and things and strings

[00:38.11] And a new watch, that's what he got

[00:43.35] And we had so much fun together

[00:47.85] We knew we'd be friends forever

[00:52.35] And we had so much fun together

[00:57.60] We had so much fun

[01:02.10] Then I left for college in September

[01:05.35] And we wept cause we can't be together

[01:11.39] So I kept pictures to remember my old friend, my old friend

[01:21.59] Then I met this girl at graduation

[01:25.86] And forget my oldest creation

[01:30.61] And I guess I'll see him next vacation

[01:35.39] Send my best, I send my best

[01:40.87] And we had so much fun together

[01:45.61] We knew we'd be friends forever

[01:50.10] And we had so much fun together

[01:55.10] We had so much fun

[01:59.34] I came home to find him on the table

[02:04.37] With a note, scribbled out in pencil

[02:09.61] And he wrote, that he just wasn't stable all alone, all alone

[02:18.85] Next to him, an empty glass of water

[02:23.35] That he spilt, all over the body

[02:28.10] That I built, it fizzled and it popped

[02:33.10] And then it killed, and then it killed

[02:38.36] And we had so much fun together

[02:43.11] We thought we'd be friends forever

[02:47.61] And we had so much fun together

[02:52.86] We had so much fun

[02:56.87] I built a friend
