Fire Coming Out Of The Monkey's Head
[00:02.53] Once upon a time at the foot of a great mountain
[00:05.66] There was a town where the people known as Happyfolk lived
[00:10.08] Their very existence a mystery to the rest of the world
[00:13.29] Obscured as it was by great clouds
[00:17.54] Here they played out their peaceful lives
[00:19.68] Innocent of the litany of excess and violence
[00:22.34] That was growing in the world below
[00:24.99] To live in harmony with
[00:26.02] The spirit of the mountain called Monkey was enough
[00:29.72] Then one day Strangefolk arrived in the town
[00:33.70] They came in camouflaged
[00:35.56] Hidden behind dark glasses and no one noticed them
[00:39.27] They only saw shadows
[00:41.14] You see without the truth of the eyes
[00:44.06] The Happyfolk were blind
[00:47.46] Falling out of aeroplanes and hiding out in holes
[00:52.51] Waiting for the sunset to come people going home
[00:57.03] Jump out from behind them and shoot them in the head
[01:01.55] Now everybody dancing
[01:04.21] The dance of the dead
[01:06.60] The dance of the dead
[01:09.00] The dance of the dead
[01:23.87] In time Strangefolk found their way
[01:26.80] Into the higher reaches of the mountain
[01:29.19] And it was there that they found the caves
[01:31.32] Of unimaginable sincerity and beauty
[01:35.06] By chance they stumbled upon
[01:37.38] The place where all good souls come to rest
[01:40.76] The Strangefolk they coveted
[01:43.14] The jewels in these caves above all things
[01:46.07] And soon they began to mine the mountain
[01:49.25] It's rich seam fueling the chaos of their own world
[01:54.77] Meanwhile down in the town
[01:57.22] The Happyfolk slept restlessly their dreams Invaded by shadowy figures
[02:01.74] Digging away at their souls
[02:04.15] Every day people would wake and stare at the mountain
[02:08.35] Why was it bringing darkness into their lives?
[02:11.80] And as the Strangefolk mined deeper and deeper into the mountain
[02:16.05] Holes began to appear
[02:17.60] Bringing with them a cold and bitter wind
[02:19.97] That chilled the very soul of the Monkey
[02:22.36] For the first time the Happyfolk felt fearful for
[02:25.57] They knew that soon the Monkey would stir from it's deep sleep
[02:30.35] Then there came a sound
[02:31.94] Distant first it grew into castrophany
[02:35.39] So immense that it could be heard far away in space
[02:39.92] There were no screams there was no time
[02:44.42] The mountain called Monkey had spoken
[02:47.62] There was only fire
[02:49.47] And then nothing
[02:53.14] Oh a little town in the USA
[02:55.68] The time has come to see
[02:58.08] There's nothing you believe you are
[03:02.86] But where were you when it all came down on me?
[03:11.10] Did you call me? no
