Better Back When
[00:17.43] We snuck in the back of that college town frat
[00:20.89] 'Cause they wouldn't let us in the front
[00:23.81] Threw their Miller Time keg in a Chevrolet bed
[00:27.53] And we let them horses run
[00:30.98] Cut a path through the grass yelling, "Kiss my ass!"
[00:34.44] With a middle finger in the wind
[00:37.89] We laughed, we drank, every now and then I think
[00:41.07] Man, I'd love to do that again
[00:43.74] Those were some good times
[00:47.19] Those were the best nights
[00:51.16] The freedom ya feel when you're learning to fly
[00:54.62] And the song on the radio was singing our lives
[00:58.08] I can't say that the moon in the sky was shinin' any brighter than it is tonight
[01:04.19] But it looked on fire back then
[01:09.50] It probably wasn't, but it seemed a little better back when
[01:18.28] Gravel lot spot by the porta johns
[01:20.66] 'Bout a quarter mile from the door
[01:24.37] Worked three weeks for a pair of cheap seats
[01:27.56] To hear "Never Wanted Nothing More"
[01:31.01] We were feeling that buzz from a summertime love
[01:34.47] And a bottle tucked in a boot
[01:38.45] It's crazy to think that looking back now
[01:41.11] But back then, we never knew
[01:44.03] Those were some good times
[01:47.21] Those were the best nights
[01:50.94] The freedom ya feel when you're learning to fly
[01:54.12] And the song on the radio was singing our lives
[01:57.84] I can't say that the moon in the sky was shinin' any brighter than it is tonight
[02:04.22] But it looked on fire back then
[02:07.40] It probably wasn't, but it seemed a little better back when
[02:18.29] I ain't sayin' that right now ain't right where I wanna be
[02:24.67] But I swear time adds a little shine to a long-gone memory
[02:32.64] Those were some good times
[02:35.82] Those were the best nights
[02:39.28] The freedom ya feel when you're learning to fly
[02:43.26] And the song on the radio was singing our lives
[02:46.45] I can't say that the moon in the sky was shinin' any brighter than it is tonight
[02:53.09] But it looked on fire back then
[02:56.01] It probably wasn't, but it seemed a little better back when
[03:05.04] It seemed a little better back when
