Marathon

[00:00.84] Therefore I do not run like someone running aimlessly

[00:04.03] I do not fight like a boxer beating the air

[00:06.44] No, I strike a blow to my body and make it my slave

[00:10.15] So that after I have preached to others

[00:13.34] I myself will not be disqualified for the price

[00:19.20] I've been tryna do right, but I keep doin' wrong

[00:21.34] If you wanna win this fight, keep your armor on

[00:23.72] Tryna be like Christ and this is what I'm on

[00:26.38] If you want eternal life man, just hold on

[00:28.78] And this is not a street, yeah, this a marathon

[00:31.17] And God is always there, you got someone to lean on

[00:33.82] The Holy Spirit with me, got me feelin' too strong

[00:36.49] The Holy Spirit with me, got me feelin' too strong

[00:39.16] But let me tell you something, hold up

[00:41.28] I was just a smoker, but now I'm sober

[00:43.69] My sin was gettin' worse as I got older

[00:46.07] My heart was cold, it was gettin' colder

[00:48.73] So deep in my sin, thought it was over

[00:51.12] You can't say this ain't real, cause you seen the old us

[00:53.51] Ever since I met Jesus, I got closer

[00:56.17] Ever since I met Jesus, I got closer

[00:59.09] The devil want us strong, but he can't hold us

[01:01.23] He always on my back, shake him off my shoulders

[01:03.89] Jesus tell me real soon, yeah, he's gettin' closer

[01:06.28] Got a new identity, now I'm a soldier

[01:08.67] And I know that God is gonn' make a way

[01:11.86] For all of my family to be saved

[01:13.98] And I know that God is gonn' make a way

[01:16.91] For all of my family to be saved

[01:19.06] I've been tryna do right, but I keep doin' wrong

[01:21.19] If you wanna win this fight, keep your armor on

[01:23.58] Tryna be like Christ and this is what I'm on

[01:26.23] If you want eternal life man, just hold on

[01:28.64] And this is not a street, yeah, this a marathon

[01:31.04] And God is always there, you got someone to lean on

[01:33.70] The Holy Spirit with me, got me feelin' too strong

[01:36.36] The Holy Spirit with me, got me feelin' too strong

[01:38.74] Who would've ever thought I'd be like this

[01:40.60] Tell me, who knew?

[01:41.41] Livin' life for the kingdom, spredin' good news

[01:43.56] And he changed my life, but this ain't nothin' new

[01:46.21] I ain't gotta lie, yeah, Jesus is the truth

[01:48.87] It ain't 'bout what you do, it's 'bout what he did

[01:51.27] Now he went on that cross, so we could be with him

[01:53.39] You ain't never seen a love, better than this

[01:56.04] Runnin' to his presence, feelin' like a little kid

[01:58.70] I've been tryna do right, but I keep doin' wrong

[02:01.35] If you wanna win this fight, keep your armor on

[02:03.75] Tryna be like Christ and this is what I'm on

[02:06.42] If you want eternal life man, just hold on

[02:08.82] And this is not a street, yeah, this a marathon

[02:11.20] And God is always there, you got someone to lean on

[02:14.12] The Holy Spirit with me, got me feelin' too strong

[02:16.51] The Holy Spirit with me, got me feelin' too strong
