Escape

[00:14.50] I was tired of my lady

[00:17.96] We'd been together too long

[00:21.41] Like a worn out recording

[00:24.60] Of a favorite song

[00:28.05] So while she lay there sleepin'

[00:31.26] I read the paper in bed

[00:34.71] And in the personal columns

[00:37.90] There was this letter I read

[00:41.36] If you like piña coladas

[00:44.82] And gettin' caught in the rain

[00:48.27] If you're not into yoga

[00:51.73] If you have half a brain

[00:54.93] If you like makin' love at midnight

[00:58.38] In the dunes on the cape

[01:01.83] Then I'm the love that you've looked for

[01:05.29] Write to me and escape

[01:22.02] I didn't think about my lady

[01:25.21] I know that sounds kinda mean

[01:28.66] But me and my old lady

[01:31.86] Had fallen into the same old dull routine

[01:35.30] So I wrote to the paper

[01:38.77] Took out a personal ad

[01:42.21] And though I'm nobody's poet

[01:45.39] I thought it wasn't half bad

[01:48.85] Yes, I like piña coladas

[01:52.31] And gettin' caught in the rain

[01:55.49] I'm not much into health food

[01:58.94] I am into champagne

[02:02.13] I've got to meet you by tomorrow noon

[02:05.85] And cut through all this red tape

[02:09.30] At a bar called O'Malley's

[02:12.78] Where we'll plan our escape

[02:29.52] So I waited with high hopes

[02:32.72] And she walked in the place

[02:36.16] I knew her smile in an instant

[02:39.35] I knew the curve of her face

[02:42.80] It was my own lovely lady

[02:45.99] And she said, "Oh, it's you"

[02:49.71] Then we laughed for a moment

[02:52.90] And I said, "I never knew"

[02:56.35] "That you like piña coladas

[02:59.80] And gettin' caught in the rain

[03:03.52] And the feel of the ocean

[03:06.71] And the taste of champagne

[03:09.89] If you like making love at midnight

[03:13.36] In the dunes on the cape

[03:16.81] You're the lady I've looked for

[03:19.73] Come with me and escape"

[03:30.35] If you like piña coladas

[03:33.54] And gettin' caught in the rain

[03:36.99] If you're not into yoga

[03:40.45] If you have half a brain

[03:43.89] If you like making love at midnight

[00:00.00] In the dunes on the cape

[00:00.00] I'm the love that you've looked for

[00:00.00] Write to me and escape

[00:00.00] Yes, I like piña coladas

[00:00.00] And gettin' caught in the rain

[00:00.00] I'm not much into health food

[00:00.00] I am into champagne

[00:00.00] I've got to meet you by tomorrow noon

[00:00.00] And cut through all this red tape

[00:00.00] At a bar called O'Malley's
