Jack Stauber_s Micropop - The Ballad of Hamantha
[00:23.69] Life's extension lottery
[00:27.94] Kind to some, but not to thee
[00:32.49] Born with a rare and sad disease
[00:37.00] She grew a ham where her head should be
[00:41.52] Flowing hair, she was a cutie pie
[00:45.77] Meaty face and a lovely eye
[00:50.02] Her dream was to be a famous star
[00:54.00] But at the rate she was going, she wasn't going far
[00:58.78] Hamantha
[01:00.91] Hamantha
[01:02.77] You were impossible to ignore
[01:07.55] Hamantha
[01:09.67] Hamantha
[01:11.80] So greedy we wanted more
[01:34.11] Her father was a simple man
[01:38.63] He wanted to help
[01:40.22] "In any way that I can!"
[01:42.88] Home from school, he watched his daughter cry
[01:46.86] In the yard, he cursed God
[01:48.97] And fired at the sky
[01:51.63] Flowing hair, she was a cutie pie
[01:56.14] Meaty face and a lovely eye
[02:00.45] Dreams in the sky, her father felt her pain
[02:04.87] And as he shot at the clouds, it began to rain
[02:09.65] Hamantha
[02:11.51] Hamantha
[02:13.11] You were impossible to ignore
[02:18.15] Hamantha
[02:20.28] Hamantha
[02:22.37] So greedy we wanted more
[02:26.87] Got a call from the doctor
[02:31.92] He had some amazing news for her
[02:36.97] He just developed a cure
[02:41.48] If she hurried over now, he'd try it out on her
[02:47.23] Burst out the door, she was beaming
[02:51.93] Among the raindrops her happy tears were streaming
[02:56.99] Finally, free from her pain
[03:01.67] But something else fell with the rain
[03:06.72] A stray bullet shot by her father
[03:11.91] Painlessly nested inside her
[03:16.43] She fell to the sidewalk, now empty
[03:21.21] Of the life which once christened her body
[03:51.77] "Nurse
[03:53.37] She's... she's gone."
[03:55.76] "Oh - oh dear."
[03:57.35] "I left a lunch on the table in the operating room for the bereaved
[04:03.73] A cooked ham, as is customary for these... dark situations."
[04:10.11] "Doctor - what - which one is the - which one is the ham?"
[04:13.48] "I - I must go, I'm on break."
[04:17.20] "Oh dear."
[04:21.98] Flowing hair, she was a cutie pie
[04:25.70] Meaty face and a lovely eye
[04:30.21] At her time of death
[04:31.81] The doc said "time to eat!"
[04:34.20] So he took a bite out of her face meat
[04:38.98] Hamantha
[04:41.37] Hamantha
[04:42.96] You were impossible to ignore
[04:48.01] Hamantha
[04:49.87] Hamantha
[04:51.99] So greedy we wanted more
[04:57.06] Soaring infinitely through space
[05:01.06] Hamantha's soul was graced
[05:05.57] With a glance of our humble planet
[05:09.81] At which she was amazed
[05:14.86] The news of her untimely death
[05:18.57] Had spread out near and far
[05:23.09] And through her soul, the truth was whole
[05:27.61] The dream had crossed the bar
[05:32.39] Hamantha had become a star
[05:36.37] Hamantha was finally a star
[05:40.89] Hamantha had become a star
[05:44.87] Hamantha was finally a star
