Escape (The Piña Colada Song)
[00:14.71] I was tired of my lady
[00:18.19] We'd been together too long
[00:21.92] Like a worn out recording
[00:25.37] Of a favorite song
[00:28.83] So while she lay there sleeping
[00:32.28] I read the paper in bed
[00:35.72] And in the personal columns
[00:38.91] There was this letter I read:
[00:42.38] "If you like piña coladas
[00:46.11] And getting caught in the rain
[00:49.56] If you're not into yoga
[00:53.02] If you have half a brain
[00:56.50] If you like making love at midnight
[00:59.94] In the dunes on the cape
[01:03.39] Then I'm the love that you've looked for
[01:06.85] Write to me and escape"
[01:23.85] I didn't think about my lady
[01:27.31] I know that sounds kind of mean
[01:30.76] But me and my old lady
[01:34.21] Had fallen into the same old dull routine
[01:37.66] So I wrote to the paper
[01:41.13] Took out a personal ad
[01:44.58] And though I'm nobody's poet
[01:48.04] I thought it wasn't half bad:
[01:51.49] "Yes, I like piña coladas
[01:55.21] And getting caught in the rain
[01:58.40] I'm not much into health food
[02:02.14] I am into champagne
[02:05.59] I've got to meet you by tomorrow noon
[02:09.04] And cut through all this red tape
[02:12.49] At a bar called O'Malley's
[02:15.95] Where we'll plan our escape"
[02:32.97] So I waited with high hopes
[02:36.43] And she walked in the place
[02:40.15] I knew her smile in an instant
[02:43.61] I knew the curve of her face
[02:46.79] It was my own lovely lady
[02:50.51] And she said, "Aw, it's you"
[02:53.96] Then we laughed for a moment
[02:57.15] And I said, "I never knew..."
[03:00.86] "...That you like piña coladas
[03:04.58] And gettin' caught in the rain
[03:07.77] And the feel of the ocean
[03:11.23] And the taste of champagne
[03:14.68] If you like making love at midnight
[03:18.13] In the dunes on the cape
[03:21.59] You're the lady I've looked for
[03:25.04] Come with me and escape"
[03:41.77] If you like piña coladas
[03:45.76] And getting caught in the rain
[03:49.22] If you're not into yoga
[03:52.93] If you have half a brain
[03:56.11] If you like making love at midnight
[03:59.83] In the dunes on the cape
[04:03.02] Then I'm the love that you've looked for
[04:06.47] Write to me and escape
[04:09.66] Yes, I like piña coladas
[04:13.38] And getting caught in the rain
[04:16.84] I'm not much into health food
[04:20.29] I am into champagne
[04:23.75] I've got to meet you by tomorrow noon
[04:27.47] And cut through all this red tape
[04:30.65] At a bar called O'Malley's
[00:00.00] Where we'll plan our escape
