The best day
[00:16.27] I'm five years old
[00:18.39] It's getting cold
[00:20.26] I've got my big coat on
[00:23.99] I hear your laugh
[00:26.12] And look up smiling at you
[00:29.30] I run and run
[00:31.96] Past the pumpkin patch
[00:33.82] And the tractor rides
[00:35.68] Look now, the sky is gold
[00:39.40] I hug your legs
[00:41.27] And fall asleep on the way home
[00:47.64] I don't know why all the trees change in the fall
[00:55.62] But I know you're not scared of anything at all
[01:02.79] Don't know if Snow White's house is near or far away
[01:08.12] But I know I had the best day with you today
[01:21.94] I'm thirteen now
[01:23.53] And don't know how
[01:25.38] My friends could be so mean
[01:29.36] I come home crying
[01:31.23] And you hold me tight
[01:34.41] And grab the keys
[01:37.07] And we drive and drive
[01:38.93] Until we found a town far enough away
[01:44.51] And we talk and window shop
[01:47.43] 'Till I forgotten all their names
[01:52.21] I don't know who I'm gonna talk to now at school
[02:00.45] But I know I'm laughing
[02:02.83] On the car ride home with you
[02:07.90] Don't know how long it's gonna take to feel okay
[02:13.48] But I know I had the best day with you today
[02:23.04] I have an excellent father
[02:26.76] His strength is making me stronger
[02:30.49] God smiles on my little brother
[02:34.49] Inside and out he's better than I am
[02:38.20] I grew up in a pretty house
[02:42.45] And I had space to run and I
[02:47.49] had the best days with you
[02:53.81] There is a video I found
[02:57.53] From back when I was three
[03:01.53] You set up a paint set in the kitchen
[03:06.04] And you're talking to me
[03:08.99] It's the age of princesses and pirate ships
[03:14.10] And the seven dwarfs
[03:16.76] And Daddy's smart
[03:18.08] And you're the prettiest lady in the whole wide world
[03:25.00] And now I know why the all the trees change in the fall
[03:31.92] I know you were on my side
[03:35.37] Even when I was wrong
[03:39.36] And I love you for giving me your eyes
[03:43.38] Staying back and watching me shine and
[03:47.62] I didn't know if you knew
[03:50.54] So I'm taking this chance to say
[03:53.46] That I had the best day with you today
