[00:00.15] Speaker 1 I have developed a life-long love of books as well as an appreciation for learning and reading.

[00:09.98] I organise the bookshelves putting books back in their correct order.

[00:15.56] I like to advise borrowers on what books to choose and reserve books if they are not available.

[00:23.79] I also help with community events like school reading schemes and used book sales.

[00:34.15] Speaker 2 I am surrounded by some of the most beautiful works of art and I have learned something about them.

[00:43.89] I love helping out with family programmes and children’s activities.

[00:49.51] I work mostly in reception selling tickets,

[00:53.23] but I hope that once I have built up enough knowledge about the works of art,

[00:58.19] I can become a guide.

[01:03.33] I am good at Information Technology and want to put these skills into good use.

[01:08.28] I enjoy volunteering at our local community centre,

[01:11.20] teaching the senior citizens how to perform computer tasks simple or more complex.

[01:16.79] All are very keen to learn and often tell me that

[01:19.71] no one has ever taken the time to teach them computer skills before.

[01:25.37] Sometimes children need a little help with their schoolwork such as reading.

[01:30.61] This is where I can help.

[01:33.07] I take groups of children for reading

[01:36.26] or helping with their homework after the school day.

[01:39.45] The children enjoy coming as they feel motivated to do well

[01:43.88] and I am often inspired by how hard they work and the progress they make.

[01:52.72] What I do involves more than just clearing up litter after visitors.

[01:58.04] People often ask me about the plants and trees that we have.

[02:03.10] I need to know the history of where they come from,

[02:07.60] who introduced them to the park and how we look after them.

[02:12.66] I particularly enjoy helping with planting for each new season.
