The Best Day (Taylors Version)
[00:00.10] "The Best Day (Taylor's Version)"
[00:10.19] Taylor Swift
[00:16.83] I'm five years old
[00:18.54] It's getting cold
[00:20.41] I've got my big coat on
[00:24.39] I hear your laugh
[00:26.24] And look up smiling at you
[00:29.71] I run and run
[00:32.10] Past the pumpkin patch
[00:33.95] And the tractor rides
[00:35.81] Look now, the sky is gold
[00:39.81] I hug your legs
[00:41.67] And fall asleep on the way home
[00:48.05] I don't know why all the trees change in the fall
[00:55.49] But I know you're not scared of anything at all
[01:02.92] Don't know if Snow White's house is near or far away
[01:08.24] But I know I had the best day with you today
[01:22.06] I'm thirteen now
[01:23.93] And don't know how
[01:25.79] My friends could be so mean
[01:29.78] I come home crying
[01:31.63] And you hold me tight
[01:34.83] And grab the keys
[01:37.22] And we drive and drive
[01:39.08] Until we found a town far enough away
[01:44.93] And we talk and window shop
[01:47.60] 'Till I forgotten all their names
[01:53.16] I don't know who I'm gonna talk to now at school
[02:00.61] But I know I'm laughing
[02:03.27] On the car ride home with you
[02:08.05] Don't know how long it's gonna take to feel okay
[02:13.90] But I know I had the best day with you today
[02:23.46] I have an excellent father
[02:27.18] His strength is making me stronger
[02:31.16] God smiles on my little brother
[02:34.61] Inside and out he's better than I am
[02:38.62] I grew up in a pretty house
[02:42.59] And I had space to run and I
[02:47.40] had the best days with you
[02:54.29] There is a video I found
[02:57.76] From back when I was three
[03:02.00] You set up a paint set in the kitchen
[03:05.98] And you're talking to me
[03:09.45] It's the age of princesses and pirate ships
[03:14.49] And the seven dwarfs
[03:17.15] And Daddy's smart
[03:18.47] And you're the prettiest lady in the whole wide world
[03:25.37] And now I know why the all the trees change in the fall
[03:32.81] I know you were on my side
[03:36.00] Even when I was wrong
[03:39.45] And I love you for giving me your eyes
[03:43.95] Staying back and watching me shine and
[03:47.70] I didn't know if you knew
[03:50.35] So I'm taking this chance to say
[03:53.80] That I had the best day with you today
