[00:00.89] "THE SOUND OF THE SILENCE"

[00:06.00] ...

[00:21.63] Hello darkness, My old friend

[00:26.88] I've come to talk With you again

[00:32.88] Because a vision softly creeping

[00:38.88] Left its seeds while I was sleeping

[00:44.88] And the vision

[00:47.99] that was planted in my brain

[00:53.54] Still remains

[00:57.79] Within the sound of silence

[01:05.17] In restless dreams i walked alone

[01:10.67] Narrow streets of cobblestone

[01:16.67] 'Neath the halo of a street lamp

[01:22.17] I turned my collar to the cold and damp

[01:28.17] When my eyes were stabbed

[01:31.42] By the flash of a neon light

[01:36.42] That split the night

[01:40.92] And touched the sound of silence

[01:48.17] And in the naked light i saw

[01:53.67] Ten thousand people, maybe more

[01:59.67] People talking without speaking

[02:05.42] People hearing without listening

[02:09.92] People writing songs that voices never shared

[02:18.92] And no one dared

[02:23.92] Disturb the sound of silence

[02:30.92] "Fools", said I, "You do not know

[02:36.42] Silence like a cancer grows

[02:42.17] Hear my words that i might teach you

[02:47.42] Take my arms that i might reach you"

[02:52.92] But my words

[02:55.92] Like silent raindrops

[02:58.92] Fell

[03:03.42] And echoed in the wells of silence

[03:11.42] And the people bowed and prayed

[03:16.68] To the neon God they made

[03:22.68] And the sign flashed out its warning

[03:28.18] In the words that it was forming

[03:33.42] And the sign said

[03:35.43] "The words of the prophets are written

[03:39.17] On the subway walls and tenement halls"

[03:46.43] And whispered in the sound of silence

[00:00.00] "THE END"
