[01:08.98] And such was life in Leningrad

[01:18.84] A Cold War kid in McCarthy times
[01:22.50] Stop ′em at the 38th parallel
[01:25.59] Blast those yellow reds to hell
[01:29.24] Cold War kids were hard to kill
[01:32.63] Under their desks in an air raid drill
[01:36.01] Haven't they heard we won the war
[01:39.38] What do they keep on fighting for?
[01:43.33] Victor was sent
[01:48.11] To some red army town
[01:52.05] Served out his time
[01:54.87] Became a circus clown
[01:59.37] The greatest happiness
[02:02.19] He'd ever found
[02:05.29] Was making Russian children glad
[02:09.80] When children lived in Leningrad
[02:14.30] The children lived in Levittown
[02:19.37] Hid in the shelters underground
[02:22.46] Till the Soviets turned their ships around
[02:25.84] Tore the Cuban missiles down
[02:29.50] And in that bright October sun
[02:32.88] We knew our childhood days were done
[02:36.25] And I watched my friends go off to war
[02:39.64] What do they keep on fighting for?
[02:43.87] So my child and I came to this place
[02:52.31] To meet him, eye to eye and face to face
[02:59.63] He made my daughter laugh
