[00:00.17] So let's just say that's not what we expected when we first approached them to talk about extending the life and quality of fresh products.
[00:09.01] But we can't change this thinking alone.
[00:12.98] And we're not a silver bullet to end food waste ourselves.
[00:19.11] But thankfully there are lots of start-ups, scale-ups, organizations and individuals all around the world working to transform this post-harvest space.
[00:28.67] And we're optimistic that our one small innovation, using common ingredients inspired by the ancient wisdom of plants, is playing its part and having an impact, reinventing the food system and helping to create abundance for all.
[00:46.47] Thanks so much.
[00:53.64] Thank you.
[00:55.50] Incredible, thank you, Jenny.
[00:57.36] I feel like, when I buy avocados and then I bring them home, and then I blink and they are rotten.
[01:04.79] How long could you extend the shelf life of an avocado?
[01:10.64] In your experience, maybe you have this, too, there's like a day, a day and a half when they're like, perfect.
[01:16.48] Like, avocado toast, cuttable, before you’re like, do I sacrifice them to guacamole?
[01:21.53] And so it takes that day and a half and extend it to four days.
[01:24.72] Maybe you're actually going to have a chance to use it before you throw it away.
[01:28.97] So you're more than doubling.
[01:29.76] And when you're spraying things that don't have a shell, does it have a taste or a smell or anything?
[01:36.94] No, they're very neutral.
[01:38.26] So no taste, no smell.
[01:39.59] You saw we used a little of it.
[01:41.19] It's like a strange thing we do around the office, which is like, eat the fruit, lick the surface, like, confirm that.
[01:47.03] But we've also done it with credible other institutions, like universities doing these blind taste tests with strawberries.
[01:56.86] And you can't tell that there's anything on them.
[01:59.78] Amazing.
[00:00.00] Jenny Du, everybody.
[00:00.00] Thank you so much, Jenny.
