Trees are the kindest

[00:26.36] Trees are the kindest thing I know.

[00:34.36] They do no harm. They simply grow.

[00:43.37] And spread a shade for sleepy cows…

[00:48.12] And gather birds among the boughs…

[00:52.61] Trees are the kindest thing I know

[01:00.87] They give us fruit in leaves above,

[01:10.11] And wood to make our houses of,

[01:18.36] And leaves to burn on Halloween,

[01:23.12] And in the Spring new buds of green.

[01:28.12] Trees are the kindest thing I know

[01:36.12] They are the first when day’s begun

[01:44.87] To touch the beams of morning sun…

[01:53.37] They are the last to hold the light

[01:57.86] When evening changes into night.

[02:02.61] Trees are the kindest thing I know

[02:10.86] And when a moon floats on the sky

[02:19.12] They hum a drowsy lullaby

[02:27.36] Of sleepy children long ago.

[02:32.11] Trees are the kindest things I know.

[02:38.87] Trees are the kindest things I know.

[02:47.37] Trees are the kindest things I know.
