[00:01.39] Iran’s supreme leader sheds tears for slain general.

[00:03.14] "God the almighty has promised to get his revenge,

[00:06.15] and God is the main avenger," said Esmail Ghaani,

[00:09.65] the Iranian general who will succeed General Suleimani

[00:13.15] as head of the Quds Force, the foreign expeditionary

[00:15.90] arm of the elite Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps.

[00:19.41] General Suleimani's killing has prompted fears of

[00:22.34] escalating retaliatory actions between Iran and the

[00:25.84] United States, and of a broader regional conflict.

[00:28.58] Zeinab Suleimani, General Suleimani's daughter, said

[00:33.59] at the funeral that the United States and Israel faced

[00:36.09] a "Dark day." "You crazy Trump, the symbol of ignorance,

[00:40.09] the slave of Zionists, don't think that the killing of my

[00:43.49] father will finish everything," she said.

[00:46.24] The general's funeral was attended by a broad swath

[00:49.73] of Iranians, including reformers who oppose the government

[00:53.49] of President Hassan Rouhani but who perceived the killing

[00:56.24] as an attack on all of Iran.
