[00:01.38] Sarah: So Peter, I hear that you love to read. What types of books do you like to read?
[00:06.13] Peter: I like to, I especially like to read fantasy and science fiction books.
[00:11.88] I love all kinds of reading but I guess one of my favorite books comes from that genre so I really, yeah, I really love that kind of book.
[00:21.13] Sarah: So, what's your favorite fantasy genre book?
[00:27.38] Peter: I think if I had to choose it would be The Lord of the Ring series.
[00:32.64] I read it, I think I read it back in high school and it was one of the most gripping, interesting, fascinating stories I've ever read.
[00:42.13] And I know it's fiction and it's an imagined world but I think at that time that book was really meaningful to me because it gave me kind of an escape
[00:52.38] and I could be busy with this book for weeks and weeks on end and I actually ended up re-reading the book twice or three times I think
[01:01.13] because I just fell in love with the characters and stories of adventure and fun and making friends and going through hardships together.
[01:11.38] And so it was a really meaningful book for me at the time and then when the movies came out,
[01:16.13] of course, I went to see them but somehow it never, although it came close, it kind of never matched up to what I had going in my imagination and I think because the book was so imaginative,
[01:30.63] I've kind of fallen in love with reading science fiction and books about possibilities of how life could be or imaginative lives of people.
[01:46.13] Yeah, that's ... I think that's why I really love that book.
[01:49.13] Sarah: Oh, it's very interesting.
[01:50.38] Peter: Yeah. How about you, do you read fiction or science fiction or anything fiction-related?
[01:56.13] Sarah: Not really, I tend to like non-fiction books.
[01:59.38] Peter: Oh, okay. Do you have any favorites from the non-fiction range of books?
[02:03.13] Sarah: One that I've read recently, well I like reading non-fiction because I like to read things that I can learn something from so I love to read books on culture and religion and different things.
[02:16.13] Peter: Okay.
[02:17.13] Sarah: And one of the books I read recently that I really liked was called Spirit of the Rainforest
[02:21.88] and it's about a tribeout in the Amazon and it was told from their perspective and as like foreigners came in,
[02:31.88] different anthropologists and their opinion and their views of them and their culture.
[02:34.88] Peter: Right.
[02:35.63] Sarah: It's really interesting.
[02:36.89] Peter: Wow, it sounds fascinating.
[02:37.88] Sarah: Yeah.
[02:38.64] Peter: I've heard that there are tribes that still remain undiscovered in the Amazon and, well, people know about them but they don't disturb them.
[02:46.89] Was this one of those examples or do you think it's something...
[02:49.13] Sarah: I think so, yeah. There were a few examples of people, you know, that had come in to sort of study them but they always seemed to leave, nobody seemed to stick around.
[02:59.14] Peter: Right. What was the most interesting part from it for you?
[03:02.63] Sarah: Oh, that would be really difficult to say. I can't think of anything specific at the moment.
[03:07.88] Peter: Okay.
[03:08.38] Sarah: Yeah.
[03:09.13] Peter: Sounds great.
