Study makes us strong

[00:06.18] 1. Since we could crawl, our fam’ly studied it all.

[00:11.67] Even though small, we understood what we were learning.

[00:18.17] Father would read to me before I would sleep.

[00:23.92] Now I am taller; I still keep up with that routine.

[00:30.45] And when I’m by myself, I take that book down off the shelf.

[00:35.69] I remember what the scripture said that I would need so I could stand firm.

[00:40.18] (CHORUS)

[00:40.95] Study makes you strong,

[00:42.93] Just like a tree that’s planted by a river stream.

[00:46.67] Study makes you strong.

[00:48.44] Your leaves just won’t dry out and ev’rything succeeds.

[00:53.19] Study makes you strong,

[00:54.43] Just like a tree that’s planted its roots down deep.

[00:59.17] Study makes you strong.

[01:00.19] You’ll grow so big and tall there’s nothing you won’t see.

[01:10.94] 2. What will I say when a big chance comes my way?

[01:16.44] What will my classmates say if I don’t follow with them?

[01:22.42] All of the information’s here on display.

[01:28.19] I’m not afraid, because I learned this as an infant.

[01:34.67] ’Cause when I’m by myself, I take that book down off the shelf.

[01:40.18] I remember what the scripture said that I would need so I could stand firm.

[01:45.20] (CHORUS)

[01:45.41] Study makes you strong,

[01:46.68] Just like a tree that’s planted by a river stream.

[01:51.42] Study makes you strong.

[01:52.94] Your leaves just won’t dry out and ev’rything succeeds.

[01:57.45] Study makes you strong,

[01:58.70] Just like a tree that’s planted its roots down deep.

[02:03.68] Study makes you strong.

[02:05.41] You’ll grow so big and tall there’s nothing you won’t see.

[02:09.92] (BRIDGE)

[02:15.92] Ev’ry word that’s helping me

[02:20.94] Could contain the very key

[02:27.44] To offer just the help and encouragement somebody needs.

[02:34.42] (CHORUS)

[02:38.44] Study makes you strong.

[02:44.17] Study makes you strong.

[02:50.19] Study makes you strong.

[02:56.18] Study makes you strong.

[03:02.19] Study makes you strong,

[03:03.45] Just like a tree that’s planted by a river stream.

[03:08.19] Study makes you strong.

[03:09.67] Your leaves just won’t dry out and ev’rything succeeds.

[03:14.19] Study makes you strong,

[03:15.44] Just like a tree that’s planted its roots down deep.

[03:20.18] Study makes you strong.

[03:21.42] You’ll grow so big and tall there’s nothing you won’t see.
