When will my life begin
[00:04.26] "When Will My Life Begin?"
[00:14.23] 7 AM, the usual morning lineup:
[00:18.22] Start on the chores and sweep 'til the floor's all clean,
[00:22.96] Polish and wax, do laundry, and mop and shine up
[00:26.73] Sweep again,
[00:27.95] And by then
[00:29.21] It's like 7:15.
[00:30.98] And so I'll read a book or maybe two or three
[00:35.70] I'll add a few new paintings to my gallery
[00:39.95] I'll play guitar and knit, and cook and basically
[00:44.47] Just wonder when will my life begin?
[00:58.24] Then after lunch it's puzzles and darts, and baking
[01:02.98] Paper mache, a bit of ballet and chess
[01:07.22] Pottery and ventriloquy, candle making
[01:11.22] Then I'll stretch,
[01:12.47] Maybe sketch,
[01:13.73] Take a climb, sew a dress!
[01:15.96] And I'll reread the books if I have time to spare
[01:19.98] I'll paint the walls some more, I'm sure there's room somewhere.
[01:24.47] And then I'll brush and brush, and brush and brush my hair
[01:29.00] Stuck in the same place I've always been.
[01:33.74] And I'll keep wonderin' and wonderin', and wonderin', and wonderin'
[01:38.74] When will my life begin?
[01:44.74] Tomorrow night the lights will appear
[01:48.46] Just like they do on my birthday each year.
[02:02.71] What is it like out there where they glow?
[02:10.99] Now that I'm older, mother might just let me go.
