The Letter

[00:14.13] She had a ring of gold and a three year old

[00:17.41] And a house with a wooden fence

[00:21.12] The doctors tried and her family cried

[00:23.88] 'Cause it didn't make no sense

[00:27.64] But somewhere deep inside

[00:30.91] She knew God knew better

[00:35.39] So in the middle of the night

[00:37.38] Dim night light, she started her letter

[00:43.63] It said, don't give up right before the miracle

[00:49.89] Don't let this world turn you cold and cynical

[00:56.63] Take these words, write'em on your heart

[01:00.40] Let your light shine through the dark

[01:05.39] And when you think you've had enough

[01:10.37] Keep looking up

[01:16.89] Keep looking up

[01:22.88] Well, she got the note that her mama wrote

[01:25.87] On the day she turned eleven

[01:29.41] On the envelope she read the words

[01:32.38] "To my little girl from heaven"

[01:35.62] She couldn't remember the smell of her skin

[01:43.63] Oh, but on that night it was like she was holding her again

[01:50.39] When she read

[01:52.38] Don't give up right before the miracle

[01:58.12] Don't let this world turn you cold and cynical

[02:05.14] Take these words, write'em on your heart

[02:08.40] Let your light shine through the dark

[02:13.36] And when you think you've had enough

[02:18.14] Keep looking up

[02:24.87] Keep looking up

[02:31.12] Find a man who will hold you hand

[02:33.88] And loves you for you

[02:37.15] And for heaven sake's

[02:38.37] You'll make mistakes but whatever you do

[02:47.62] Don't give up right before the miracle

[02:53.11] Don't let this world turn you cold and cynical

[02:59.89] Take these words, write'em on your heart

[03:03.17] Let your light shine through the dark

[03:08.37] And when you think you've had enough

[03:14.37] And you need me to pour down my love

[03:19.38] Keep looking up

[03:25.90] Keep looking up

[03:32.37] Keep looking up
