Blessings - Laura Story
[00:15.90] We pray for blessings
[00:20.39] We pray for peace
[00:24.64] Comfort for family,
[00:28.15] protection while we sleep
[00:32.40] We pray for healing,
[00:36.89] for prosperity
[00:40.64] We pray for Your mighty hand
[00:44.89] to ease our suffering
[00:49.14] And all the while,
[00:52.65] You hear each spoken need
[00:57.14] Yet love is way too much
[01:00.15] to give us lesser things
[01:04.64] 'Cause what if your blessings
[01:06.79] come through raindrops
[01:08.78] What if Your healing
[01:10.79] comes through tears
[01:12.79] What if a thousand sleepless nights
[01:16.28] are what it takes to know You're near
[01:22.29] What if trials of this life
[01:27.54] are Your mercies in disguise
[01:38.78] We pray for wisdom
[01:43.03] Your voice to hear
[01:47.04] We cry in anger when
[01:50.79] we cannot feel You near
[01:55.29] We doubt your goodness,
[01:59.79] we doubt your love
[02:03.29] As if every promise
[02:06.53] from Your Word is not enough
[02:11.79] And all the while,
[02:15.29] You hear each desperate plea
[02:19.79] And long that we'd have faith
[02:23.04] to believe
[02:27.04] 'Cause what if your blessings
[02:29.17] come through raindrops
[02:31.43] What if Your healing
[02:33.68] comes through tears
[02:35.68] What if a thousand sleepless nights
[02:39.17] are what it takes to know You're near
[02:45.17] What if trials of this life
[02:50.43] are Your mercies in disguise
[02:57.43] When friends betray us
[03:01.43] When darkness seems to win
[03:04.82] We know that pain reminds this heart
[03:09.57] That this is not our home
[03:20.57] It's not our home
[03:33.07] 'Cause what if your blessings
[03:35.96] come through raindrops
[03:37.96] What if Your healing
[03:39.96] comes through tears
[03:41.96] What if a thousand sleepless nights
[03:45.72] are what it takes to know You're near
[03:50.46] What if my greatest disappointments
[03:54.71] Or the aching of this life
[03:58.46] Is the revealing of a greater thirst
[04:03.47] this world can't satisfy
[04:07.71] What if trials of this life
[04:13.21] The rain, the storms, the hardest nights
[04:17.21] Are your mercies in disguise?
[04:23.12] Psalms 27:13-14
[04:24.87] I had fainted, unless I had believed to
[04:28.13] see the goodness of the Lord
[04:30.87] in the land of the living.
[04:34.11] Wait on the Lord: be of good courage,
[04:37.37] and he shall strengthen thine heart:
[04:41.37] wait, I say, on the Lord.
