[00:00.64] Katie: So what are three foods that you absolutely have to have that you can't live without?

[00:04.64] Gilda: I would say that I could not live without arepa.

[00:09.14] It's like my daily breakfast in Venezuela.

[00:12.89] Katie: What's that?

[00:16.14] Gilda: Arepa is made of corn flour, and it looks like a hamburger. So you put anything you want inside and it's very tasty.

[00:22.64] And I would say like 95 percent of Venezuelans eat arepas every day.

[00:27.89] Well, it's kind of like a high-carb diet in my country. So I need rice also for lunch, and bread.

[00:40.64] Bread is another thing. In the afternoon, a piece of bread, sweet bread with coffee is kind of like mandatory.

[00:50.14] Katie: So lots and lots of carbs in your diet.

[00:51.64] Gilda: Yes. What about you? What about in England?

[00:54.14] Katie: Well, English breakfast is not the healthiest of breakfast. It's like a big plate with fried eggs, fried sausages, hash browns, like hash potatoes, beans, just everything fried and everything delicious.

[01:13.14] And I would say that I can't live without that, but if I ate it every day, then I would probably not be able to leave my house because I would be so, so fat.

[01:22.64] But it's definitely a food that is in my top foods of all time. That's probably my favorite.

[01:31.39] But recently, I've been eating lots of tofu. It's breakfast.

[01:35.89] Gilda: Oh, okay.

[01:36.64] Katie: Yeah. So a little bit of tofu, a little bit of soy sauce just for breakfast, which is just – it's a bit of a boring breakfast.

[01:44.14] But it's really healthy, I guess. So I've been eating that a lot every day. So I probably can't live without that recently. And also, pizza. Pizza.

[01:54.39] Gilda: Oh, pizza. Yes, very good.

[01:55.89] Katie: Pizza. I think everyone can't live without pizza.

[01:57.14] Gilda: Yes.

[01:57.89] Katie: Pizza is the best. Pizza is definitely a food that I can't live without.

[02:01.14] Gilda: Yeah, I try to have pizza probably once a week, I would say. Yeah.

[02:07.64] Katie: What's your favorite topping?

[02:09.64] Gilda: That would be cheese.

[02:11.14] Katie: Cheese. Classic.

[02:12.64] Gilda: Definitely. Bacon.

[02:14.89] Katie: Cheese and bacon. Oh it sounds good.

[02:15.89] Gilda: Yes. Very, very tasty.

[02:16.39] Katie: Just cheese and bacon or anything else?

[02:18.89] Gilda: No, no. I'm going for anything actually but I will always need to have cheese and bacon on my pizza.

[02:28.64] Katie: Pizza is not pizza without cheese.

[02:30.39] Gilda: Yes. Yes.

[02:31.39] Katie: It has to have cheese.

[02:32.64] Gilda: So what else do you have? So you said tofu, pizza, what other food can you live without?

[02:38.14] Katie: Well, my grandma is part Italian. So we have lots of like pasta and lasagna in our family.

[02:45.64] So I try and eat – well, I try not to eat a lot of pasta because I'll get really fat.

[02:50.64] But pasta is definitely something that I can't live without. So good.

[02:53.89] Gilda: Yeah. Italian food is so good.

[02:57.14] Katie: Yeah. And again, lots of cheese.

[02:58.14] Gilda: Yeah. We also do a lot of lasagna but, well, we call it pasticho.

[03:03.14] Katie: Pasticho.

[03:03.89] Gilda: It's a different name but it's the same lasagna. And it's also very tasty.

[03:07.89] Katie: So good.

[03:08.89] Gilda: Yeah. But high fat food.

[03:10.14] Katie: So like a real like comfort food, isn't it? Lasagna.

[03:12.64] Gilda: Yeah. Yeah.

[03:13.39] Katie: So good. So what would you say is your comfort food?

[03:18.64] Gilda: My comfort food – that would be arepa, again. Yeah, definitely.

[03:25.14] Katie: You said you're going to have lots of like fillings in that.

[03:28.64] Gilda: Yes. So my favorite would be black beans with cheese inside. It sounds a little bit like a mix up of things but it's really, really tasty.

[03:42.89] We do eat a lot of black beans every day in Venezuela. It's very common. What about you?

[03:49.14] Katie: My comfort food, I can't eat it as much as I would like to these days but it's probably my mom's spaghetti Bolognese.

[03:58.14] So good. It's so good, like lots of pasta, lots of tomato, lots of herbs, lots of cheese.

[04:05.39] Gilda: Sounds good.

[04:06.39] Katie: It's amazing. I would like live with my parents if it meant I could have spaghetti Bolognese every day.

[04:13.39] So good. So tasty. I think it's the best
