Boyce Avenue - Castle On The Hill
[00:01.38] When I was six years old I broke my leg
[00:08.13] I was running from my brother and his friends
[00:15.13] And tasted the sweet perfume of the mountain grass I rolled down
[00:22.88] I was younger then, take me back to when
[00:29.13] I found my heart, and broke it here
[00:33.13] Made friends, and lost them through the years
[00:37.13] And I've not seen the roaring fields in so long
[00:42.64] Oh, no, I've grown, and I can't wait to go home
[00:47.13] I'm on my way
[00:50.63] Driving at 90, down those country lanes
[00:57.88] Singing to "Tiny Dancer"
[01:01.13] And I miss the way you make me feel, and it's real
[01:08.38] We watched the sunset over the castle on the hill
[01:19.63] 15 years old and smoking hand-rolled cigarettes
[01:26.88] Running from the law through the backfields, and
[01:30.63] Getting drunk with my friends
[01:33.38] Had my first kiss on a Friday night
[01:37.38] And I don't reckon that I did it right
[01:41.38] I was younger then, take me back to when
[01:46.38] We found weekend jobs, when we got paid
[01:51.63] We'd buy cheap spirits and drink them straight
[01:55.38] Me and my friends have not thrown up in so long
[02:00.88] Oh, how we've grown, but I can't wait to go home
[02:05.13] And I'm on my way
[02:08.88] Driving at 90, down those country lanes
[02:16.13] Singing to "Tiny Dancer"
[02:19.38] And I miss the way you make me feel, and it's real
[02:26.63] We watched the sunset over the castle on the hill
[02:30.13] Over the castle on the hill
[02:37.38] Over the castle on the hill
[02:56.13] One friend left to sell clothes
[02:59.63] One works down by the coast
[03:02.88] One had two kids, but lives alone
[03:07.13] One's brother overdosed
[03:10.13] One's already on his second wife
[03:13.88] One's just barely getting by
[03:17.13] These people raised me, and I
[03:21.38] Can't wait to go home
[03:23.63] And I'm on my way
[03:27.38] And I still remember these old country lanes
[03:33.88] When we did not know the answers
[03:37.63] And I miss the way you make me feel, it's real
[03:44.88] And we watched the sunset over the castle on the hill
[03:48.38] Over the castle on the hill
[03:55.88] Over the castle on the hill
