Blessings - Laura Story (with lyrics)

[00:04.59] "Blessings"

[00:17.38] We pray for blessings, we pray for peace

[00:25.86] Comfort for family, protection while we sleep

[00:33.88] We pray for healing, for prosperity

[00:41.88] We pray for Your mighty hand to ease our suffering

[00:49.64] And all the while, You hear each spoken need

[00:57.87] Yet love us way too much to give us lesser things

[01:05.13] 'Cause what if Your blessings come through raindrops

[01:10.11] What if Your healing comes through tears

[01:13.63] What if a thousand sleepless nights are what it takes to know You're near

[01:23.89] What if trials of this life are Your mercies in disguise

[01:40.36] We pray for wisdom, Your voice to hear

[01:48.38] We cry in anger when we cannot feel You near

[01:56.64] We doubt Your goodness, we doubt Your love

[02:04.38] As if every promise from Your word is not enough

[02:12.10] And all the while, You hear each desperate plea

[02:20.90] And long that we'd have faith to believe

[02:28.14] 'Cause what if Your blessings come through raindrops

[02:32.36] What if Your healing comes through tears

[02:36.39] What if a thousand sleepless nights are what it takes to know You're near

[02:46.64] What if trials of this life are Your mercies in disguise

[03:00.13] When friends betray us

[03:02.88] When darkness seems to win

[03:05.86] We know the pain reminds this heart

[03:10.38] That this is not

[03:12.63] This is not our home

[03:21.63] It's not our home

[03:34.12] 'Cause what if Your blessings come through raindrops

[03:38.63] What if Your healing comes through tears

[03:42.66] And what if a thousand sleepless nights are what it takes to know You're near

[03:52.63] What if my greatest disappointments or the aching of this life

[03:59.38] Is the revealing of a greater thirst this world can't satisfy

[04:09.63] And what if trials of this life-

[04:13.90] The rain, the storms, the hardest nights

[04:18.66] Are Your mercies in disguise
