12 The Best Day (Taylor_s Version)
[00:16.29] I'm five years old
[00:18.05] It's getting cold
[00:20.05] I've got my big coat on
[00:23.79] I hear your laugh
[00:25.79] And look up smiling at you
[00:29.29] I run and run
[00:31.54] Past the pumpkin patch
[00:33.55] And the tractor rides
[00:35.79] Look now -- the sky is gold
[00:39.29] I hug your legs
[00:41.32] And fall asleep
[00:44.79] On the way home
[00:47.54] I don't know why all the trees change in the fall
[00:55.04] I know you're not scared of anything at all
[01:02.29] Don't know if Snow White's house is near or far away
[01:08.04] But I know I had the best day
[01:11.29] With you today
[01:21.80] I'm thirteen now
[01:23.30] And don't know how
[01:25.30] My friends could be so mean
[01:29.28] I come home crying
[01:31.28] And you hold me tight
[01:34.03] And grab the keys
[01:36.53] And we drive and drive
[01:39.03] Until we've found a town
[01:42.03] Far enough away
[01:44.53] And we talk
[01:45.53] And window-shop
[01:47.53] 'Til I've forgotten all their names
[01:52.78] I don't know who I'm gonna talk to now at school
[02:00.30] I know I'm laughing on the car ride home with you
[02:07.78] Don't know how long it's gonna take to feel okay
[02:13.29] But I know I had the best day
[02:16.31] With you today
[02:23.29] I have an excellent father
[02:26.78] His strength is making me stronger
[02:30.54] God smiles on my little brother
[02:34.03] Inside and out he's better than I am
[02:38.29] I grew up in a pretty house
[02:42.28] And I had space to run
[02:45.55] And I had the best days with you
[02:53.80] There is a video I found from back when I was three
[03:01.53] You set up a paint set in the kitchen and you're talking to me
[03:09.05] It's the age of princesses and pirate ships and the seven dwarfs
[03:16.55] And Daddy's smart and you're the prettiest lady in the whole wide world
[03:24.80] And now I know why all the trees change in the fall
[03:32.29] I know you were on my side even when I was wrong
[03:38.79] And I love you for giving me your eyes
[03:43.53] For staying back and watching me shine
[03:47.53] And I didn't know if you knew
[03:50.28] So I'm taking this chance to say
[03:53.03] That I had the best day
[03:55.78] With you today
