8. The Hype

[00:00.76] Yeah, it's my life

[00:04.52] My own words, I guess

[00:06.26] Have you ever loved someone so much

[00:08.28] You'd give an arm for

[00:09.52] Not the expression, no

[00:11.02] Literally give an arm for

[00:12.77] When they know they're your heart

[00:14.27] And you know you are their armor

[00:16.02] And you will destroy anyone who would try to harm her

[00:19.29] But what happens when karma

[00:20.77] Turns right around and bites you

[00:22.27] And everything you stand for turns on you to spite you

[00:25.52] What happens when you become the main source of her pain

[00:28.76] "Daddy look what I made"

[00:30.27] "Dad's gotta go catch a plane"

[00:32.02] "Daddy where's mommy?

[00:33.03] I can't find mommy, where is she?"

[00:35.26] "I don't know, go play, Hailie baby, your daddy's busy

[00:38.54] Daddy's writing a song, this song ain't gon' write itself"

[00:41.28] I give you one underdog, and you gotta swing by yourself

[00:44.76] Then turn right around in that song and tell her you love her

[00:48.03] And put hands on her mother who's the spittin' image of her

[00:51.26] That's Slim Shady, yeah baby Slim Shady's crazy

[00:54.51] Shady made me

[00:55.77] But tonight, Shady's rock-a-bye baby

[00:58.01] And when I'm gone just carry on don't mourn

[01:01.01] Rejoice every time you hear the sound of my voice, just know that

[01:04.76] I'm lookin' down on you smilin'

[01:06.76] And I didn't feel a thing so baby, don't feel no pain, just smile back

[01:11.02] And when I'm gone just carry on don't mourn

[01:13.50] Rejoice every time you hear the sound of my voice, just know that

[01:17.52] I'm lookin' down on you smilin'

[01:19.51] And I didn't feel a thing so baby, don't feel no pain, just smile back

[01:23.26] I keep havin' this dream

[01:24.76] I'm pushin' Hailie on a swing, she keeps screamin', she don't want me to sing

[01:29.26] "You're makin' mommy cry, why, why is mommy cryin'"

[01:32.77] "Baby, daddy ain't leavin' no more, daddy you're lyin'

[01:36.02] You always say that, you always say this is the last time

[01:39.51] But you ain't leavin' no more daddy, you're mine"

[01:42.52] She's pilin' boxes in front of the door tryin' to block it

[01:45.51] "Daddy please, daddy, don't leave, daddy, no, stop it"

[01:48.78] Goes in her pocket, pulls out a tiny necklace locket

[01:52.01] It's got a picture, "This will keep you safe daddy, take it with ya"

[01:55.51] I look up, it's just me standin' in the mirror

[01:58.51] These fuckin' walls must be talkin', 'cause man I can hear 'em

[02:01.52] They're sayin', "you got one more chance to do right

[02:04.30] And it's tonight, now go out and show 'em that you love 'em before it's too late"

[02:08.52] And just as I go to walk out of my bedroom door

[02:11.54] It turns to a stage, they're gone and the spotlight is on and I'm singin'

[02:15.01] And when I'm gone just carry on don't mourn

[02:17.79] Rejoice every time you hear the sound of my voice, just know that

[02:21.51] I'm lookin' down on you smilin'

[02:23.75] And I didn't feel a thing so baby, don't feel no pain, just smile back

[02:28.01] And when I'm gone just carry on don't mourn

[02:30.50] Rejoice every time you hear the sound of my voice, just know that

[02:34.53] I'm lookin' down on you smilin'

[02:36.52] And I didn't feel a thing so baby, don't feel no pain, just smile back

[02:40.00] Sixty thousand people all jumpin' out their seat

[02:43.27] The curtain closes, they're throwin' roses at my feet

[02:46.52] I take a bow, and thank you all for comin' out

[02:49.51] They're screamin' so loud, I take one last look at the crowd

[02:52.80] I glance down, I don't believe what I'm seein'

[02:56.01] "Daddy, its me, help mommy, her wrists are bleedin'"

[02:59.30] But baby we're in Sweden

[03:00.76] How did you get to Sweden?

[03:02.54] "I followed you daddy

[03:03.77] You told me that you weren't leavin'

[03:05.77] You lied to me dad, and now you made mommy sad

[03:09.03] And I bought you this coin, it says number one dad

[03:12.03] That's all I wanted, I just want to give you this coin"

[03:15.28] "I get the point, fine, me and mommy are goin'"

[03:18.52] "But baby wait, it's too late dad, you made your choice

[03:21.77] Now go out there and show 'em that you love 'em more than us

[03:24.77] That's what they want

[03:26.01] They want you, Marshall

[03:27.28] They keep screamin' your name

[03:28.76] It's no wonder you can't go to sleep

[03:31.30] Just take another pill, yeah I bet you you will!

[03:34.26] You rap about it, yeah word, kid keep it real"

[03:37.27] I hear a applause, all this time I couldn't see

[03:40.76] How could it be, that the curtain is closin' on me

[03:44.02] I turn around, find a gun on the ground

[03:46.52] Cock it, put it to my brain, scream "die Shady!" And pop it

[03:50.51] The sky darkens, my life flashes

[03:52.80] The plane that I was supposed to be on, crashes, and burns to ashes

[03:57.02] That's when I wake up

[03:58.27] Alarm clock's ringing, there's birds singin'

[04:00.76] It's spring and Hailie's outside swingin'

[04:03.26] I walk right up to Kim and kiss her tell her I miss her

[04:06.52] Hailie just smiles and winks at her little sister almost as if to say

[04:10.51] And when I'm gone just carry on don't mourn

[04:13.03] Rejoice every time you hear the sound of my voice, just know that

[04:17.03] I'm lookin' down on you smilin'

[04:18.76] And I didn't feel a thing so baby, don't feel no pain, just smile back

[04:23.06] And when I'm gone just carry on don't mourn

[04:25.79] Rejoice every time you hear the sound of my voice, just know that

[04:29.52] I'm lookin' down on you smilin'

[04:31.52] And I didn't feel a thing so baby, don't feel no pain, just smile back
