14 Honky Cat

[00:23.54] When I look back, boy, I must've been green

[00:29.65] Boppin' in the country, fishin' in the stream

[00:35.39] Lookin' for an answer, tryin' to find a sign

[00:40.90] Until I saw your city lights, honey, I was blind

[00:46.35] They said, "Get back, honky cat

[00:49.32] Better get back to the woods"

[00:51.57] Well, I quit those days and my redneck ways, and I

[00:58.23] (Oh-oh-oh-oh) Oh, the change is gonna do me good

[01:09.23] "You better get back, honky cat"

[01:12.24] Livin' in the city ain't where it's at

[01:14.99] It's like tryin' to find gold in a, a silver mine

[01:20.63] It's like tryin' to drink whiskey, oh, from a bottle of wine

[01:32.14] Well, I read some books and I read some magazines

[01:37.86] About those a-high-class a-ladies down in a-New Orleans

[01:43.62] And all the a-folks back home, well, they said I was a fool

[01:50.39] Oh, "Believe in the Lord" is the golden rule

[01:55.39] They said, "Get back, honky cat

[01:58.86] Better get back to the woods"

[02:01.11] Well, I quit those days and my redneck ways, and I

[02:07.62] Oh-oh-oh-oh, oh, the change is gonna do me good
